Mark Haag, born February 2, 1947 in Portland, Oregon. Raised in the turbulent America of the ’50’s and ’60’s, and finally blown out of America by the Vietnam War, the author has spent the last fifty years of his life as a goat farmer and forestry worker in the southern French Alps. All the while, his quest for a theoretical model, born from the imperative need to understand what had happened to his generation, has been the principal orientation of his existence and it is with considerable relief that he here confides it, whatever may be its reception, to those who come after.
